Kyoto Animation's new work: Tamako Market

Yesterday, Kyoto Animation introduced its brand new original anime, Tamako Market, which will be on the air January 2013. The announcement came out in the shape of a 15-second trailer:

The director of the show, Naoko Yamada, is known for her role as the director in the different K-On! productions, both the first and second seasons of the TV anime and the theatrical movie, and storyboarding and key-animating in different animated series by Kyoani. Along her, Reiko Yoshida will be in charge of the series composition, as she was in K-On! as well.

Yukiko Horiguchi is once again the character designer, completing the staff that run K-On!.

Tamako Market already has its own website and Twitter account available (in obvious Japanese), so if you guys want to keep up-to-date don't forget to follow those links.

DCCD vol.3

Since I'm a big anime fan and I watch several shows every season, it's been sort of a tradition to make my own anime music CDs.

It started years ago, and I would do it casually every once in a while. I remember I made a Meitantei Conan CD with all the openings and endings available at that time, a mix CD with themes from Rurouni Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop, and all the cool shows from the 90's. I also liked to buy soundtracks and I'd been collecting them for a while... Crayon Shin-Chan, Cardcaptor Sakura, Dragon Ball, a lot from the Ghibli movies, more recently Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and K-On!!, etc.

Anyway, I guess I've always enjoyed to listen to foreign music, and in this case, music from the japanese animation shows that I liked.

In 2009 I made a CD called "DCCD" with the music from some of the recent shows I had been watching (I had been disconnected from anime for a long time, and I think I kinda came back in 2007). It was a pretty lame compilation, but I drew and designed the covers and passed it around some friends and they liked the idea.

Last year, it ocurred to me that I could make a second DCCD, since it had been two years that I first compiled anime songs again, and I thought it was handy to have all the music that I liked in one same tracklist (I know, iTunes, but still, it's not the same)... not just a tracklist, but a compilation that I made specially for myself. Turns out I enjoyed making those CDs. It was fun.

And today, I'm publicly introducing to the Internet DCCD volume 3.

DOWNLOAD IT! (213 mbs)

I think it's a good idea to share the music that you like so others might enjoy it as well, so this time I did exactly the same thing that I've been doing for two years, and I'm thinking of releasing another DCCD next year. So I hope you like it and post your opinions.

Here's the tracklist, by the way.

Little Busters!, Kuroko no Basket, Tsuritama, Sakamichi no Apollon, Guilty Crown, Hyouka, Accel World, Eureka Seven AO, Gothicmade (I know we can't count the theme as "OP", but you have to admit the song is freaking good), Idolm@ster, Chuunibyou demo Koi ga shitai, Btooom!, Symphogear, OniAi, Sword Art Online, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, Ano Natsu de Matteru and Girls und Panzer.

We shouldn't necesarily catalog the good music into the "good anime" category. There's cases where I didn't like the show but I really enjoyed the OP or ED songs, so I included them in the CD anyways.
